In the digital era, there is a need to navigate Islamic family law and address humanity issues. With the advent of technology and social media, it has become crucial to tackle these matters in a way that aligns with Islamic principles while considering the challenges of the modern world.
Islamic family law governs various aspects of family life, including marriage, divorce, custody, and inheritance. However, the application of these laws in the digital age presents unique challenges. Issues such as online divorces, polygamy, and child custody disputes can arise due to the intersection of technology and Islamic family law.
One major concern is the rise of online divorces, where couples utilize digital platforms to dissolve their marriages without adhering to proper Islamic procedures. This raises questions about the validity and legitimacy of such divorces under Islamic law. Scholars and religious authorities are grappling with the need to adapt traditional practices to the digital realm while maintaining the integrity of Islamic teachings.
At the conference, 5 sharia faculty lecturers presented the results of their research, yaitu: Dr. Achmad Mulyadi, M. Ag., Hosen, M. H. I., Abdul Jalil., M. H. I., Achmad Faidi., M. M., dan Dr. Umi Supraptinigsih.
